Edit Documents Directly from the Web

Using Box Edit, you can open files stored in Box using the appropriate application on your computer. 

What is Box Edit?

• Box Edit allows you to edit any file type (Office, CAD, Photoshop) directly from your web browser.
• Box Edit opens each file in its native desktop application. Make your changes and hit save, and the file will automatically be saved back to Box.
• Box tracks your version history for you, so there’s no need to ‘Save As’ to rename the file.

What’s that you said about version history?

• Each time you edit a document, a new version is saved in Box automatically – there’s no need to upload a new “Document_ver2.”
• View your version history by hovering over the file name and clicking the “V”
• You can download previous versions or make past versions current with one simple click. No need to worry about accidentally overwriting your changes!
