If you receive an email with a clickable link that directs you to a page requesting your email address and password then exit the page immediately and delete the email.
Even if the email is from a Crossland employee, that doesn't always mean it is a safe link!
**If you are ever unsure if an email is safe or not, call the sender to ensure they did send the email or you can forward the email to itdepartment@crossland.com and ask.**
Here are a few things you can check first:
1. Hover your mouse over the link. If the little pop up window doesn't show a web address that pertains to the text you are hovering over, delete the email. (See 'Spam 1')
2. As a company, we use Box for file sharing. If you get an email from a Crossland employee with a link for Dropbox or SharePoint or some other file sharing platform, it would be a good idea to call that person and ask if they sent you that email.
3. If you are not expecting an email with attachments from the sender, do not open the attachment(s).
